The brake rectifier BG is a half-wave rectifier with overvoltage protection.
The rectifier is used for small motors if no special requirements are required in terms of the release reaction time of the brake. It cannot be used at elevated ambient temperatures and cannot be used under the cooling conditions of the brakes.

The DEH21B and DIP11B options extend the MOVIDRIVE@ B system to include an SSI interface_ for absolute encoders. This option allows the following possibilities for IPOSplus@ positioning:
? No reference travel required when the system is started or after a power failure
? Positioning can take place either with the absolute encoder or the incremental encoder/resolver installed on the motor. No switch needed on the travel distance, even without motor encoder feedback
? Free processing of the absolute in the IPOSlus@ program
? In addition to the basic unit, 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs are available with the DIP1B option.
? The absolute encoder can be mounted either on the motor or along the track (e.g. high-bay warehouse)
? Simple encoder adjustment with user-guided startup
? Endless positioning in combination with activated modulo function

SEW mechanical brake is a DC-operated electromagnetic disk brake that is released electrically and applied using spring force. The brake is applied when the voltage supply is interrupted. It meets the basic safety requirements.
The brake can also be released mechanically if equipped with a manual brake release. The mechanical release is enabled by a hand lever that resets automatically or an adjustable set screw. The brake is controlled by a brake control that is installed in either the motor terminal box or the control cabinet.
