事實證明，李海泉的這一決定十分正確：抵達美國后，李小龍一改從前的逃學(xué)作風(fēng)，輾轉(zhuǎn)于三藩市與西雅圖等地，一絲不茍地認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)。
與此同時，他還像許多剛踏上美國大陸的中國青年一樣勤工儉學(xué)，以洗碗、送早報和教授恰恰舞為兼職來養(yǎng)活自己。
然而過了還不到半年，李小龍便找到了更適合自己的發(fā)展道路：他在西雅圖開設(shè)了一間武館教人武功，不僅作為謀生手段，更準(zhǔn)備以此獨創(chuàng)一個門派，將中國武術(shù)發(fā)揚光大。
他將自己的武術(shù)命名為“截拳道”
