TPE的優(yōu)點(diǎn)：
1. 可用一般的熱塑性塑料成型機(jī)加工，不需要特殊的加工設(shè)備。
2. 生產(chǎn)效率大幅提高?？芍苯佑孟鹉z注塑機(jī)硫化，時(shí)間由原來(lái)的20min左右，縮短到1min以內(nèi)；由于需要的硫化時(shí)間很短，因此已可用擠出機(jī)直接硫化，生產(chǎn)效率大幅提高。
5. 應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域更廣。由于TPE兼具橡膠和塑料的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，為橡膠工業(yè)開(kāi)辟了新的應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域。
6. 可用于塑料的增強(qiáng)、增韌改性。自補(bǔ)強(qiáng)性大，配方簡(jiǎn)化，配合劑對(duì)聚合物的影響制約小，質(zhì)量性能更易掌握。但TPE的耐熱性不如橡膠，隨著溫度上升而物性下降幅度較大，因而適用范圍受到限制。同時(shí)，壓縮變形、彈性回復(fù)、耐久性等同橡膠相比較差，價(jià)格上也往往高于同類橡膠。盡管如此，TPE的優(yōu)點(diǎn)仍十分突出，各種新型的TPE產(chǎn)品也不斷開(kāi)發(fā)出來(lái)。作為一種節(jié)能環(huán)保的橡膠新型原料，發(fā)展前景十分看好。
