TPE的優(yōu)點：
1. 可用一般的熱塑性塑料成型機加工，不需要特殊的加工設(shè)備。
2. 生產(chǎn)效率大幅提高?？芍苯佑孟鹉z注塑機硫化，時間由原來的20min左右，縮短到1min以內(nèi)；由于需要的硫化時間很短，因此已可用擠出機直接硫化，生產(chǎn)效率大幅提高。
5. 應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域更廣。由于TPE兼具橡膠和塑料的優(yōu)點，為橡膠工業(yè)開辟了新的應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域。
6. 可用于塑料的增強、增韌改性。自補強性大，配方簡化，配合劑對聚合物的影響制約小，質(zhì)量性能更易掌握。但TPE的耐熱性不如橡膠，隨著溫度上升而物性下降幅度較大，因而適用范圍受到限制。同時，壓縮變形、彈性回復(fù)、耐久性等同橡膠相比較差，價格上也往往高于同類橡膠。盡管如此，TPE的優(yōu)點仍十分突出，各種新型的TPE產(chǎn)品也不斷開發(fā)出來。作為一種節(jié)能環(huán)保的橡膠新型原料，發(fā)展前景十分看好。
