蓄電池在充放電過(guò)程中，電解液中的水會(huì)因?yàn)殡娊夂驼舭l(fā)而逐漸減少，導(dǎo)致電解液面下降。

如果不及時(shí)補(bǔ)充的話，有可能縮短蓄電池的使用壽命，應(yīng)及時(shí)補(bǔ)充蒸餾水。切忌用飲用純凈水代替，因?yàn)榧儍羲泻卸喾N微量元素，對(duì)蓄電池會(huì)造成不良影響。

給蓄電池添加電解液或水時(shí)要注意，電解液高過(guò)極板10至15毫米即可；有兩條紅線的蓄電池，電解液不得超過(guò)上紅線。

電解液太滿會(huì)從蓄電池蓋小孔中溢出。一旦流到蓄電池正、負(fù)兩極之間，就會(huì)形成回路自放電。遇此情況就應(yīng)將電解液擦掉，或用開水沖洗擦凈。
